How can we help?
Answers to questions about events, tickets, your account and alerts. Type what you are looking for or pick a topic.
Getting started
What is eventonight?
A search and comparison site for live events: concerts, festivals, club nights, stand-up and theatre shows in Europe and the Americas. We collect events from ticket sellers, promoters and open data sources, and for each one we show where to buy tickets.
Does it cost anything to use eventonight?
No. You can browse events without an account, and the fan account is free. We add nothing to ticket prices: you only pay the seller you buy the ticket from.
How do I find an event?
Type an artist, venue or city into the search at the top of the page (on a computer, press “/” to open it). In the event list you can narrow the results by date, city, event type, price and genre, and the event map shows what is happening near you.
How does “Night out ideas” work?
Describe in one sentence what you feel like, for example the day, city, type of event and budget. Night out ideas puts together up to three plans for your evening, using only events from our catalog. Always check times and prices on the event page.
How do I choose my city?
Click the city name in the page header and pick your city from the list. If it is not there, find it with the search, open the city page and click “Set as my city”. We remember your choice in this browser. When you are signed in, you can also set your city in your account settings.
How do I change the site language?
Choose a language in the header or the footer of the page (“Site language”). The site is available in 16 languages. When you are signed in, you can also choose the language of the e-mails we send you in your account settings.
Tickets and prices
Do you sell tickets?
No. The “Buy tickets” button takes you to the seller’s website: a ticket agency, a promoter or a resale platform. That is where you pay and where you conclude the contract to buy the ticket. We never ask for your payment card details or for any payment.
The event was cancelled or postponed. How do I get my money back?
Refunds, exchanges and ticket complaints are handled by the seller you bought the ticket from or by the event’s promoter. You will find the seller’s contact details in your order confirmation. We have no access to orders and cannot refund your money.
How do I know whether an event is cancelled or postponed?
The event page shows its status, for example “Cancelled” or “Postponed”. We update the data regularly, but the promoter and the seller have the final say. If you add your events to your calendar, new times and cancellations appear there automatically.
Where do the prices come from, and do they include fees?
We get prices from sellers and refresh them regularly. Next to the offers table we say whether the prices include service fees and when we checked them. The price on the seller’s website at the moment of purchase is the binding one.
Why do I see fewer prices when I am not signed in?
When you are not signed in, we show offers from the site’s official partners and the number of other sellers. Sign in to your free account to see prices from all sellers, the price comparison, price history and price alerts.
What is the difference between “Official sale” and “Resale”?
“Official sale” means tickets from the primary market: from a ticket agency, the promoter or the venue. “Resale” means offers from platforms where tickets are sold by other buyers. Their prices may exceed the face value, and the promoter may restrict ticket resale. We always show official offers before resale.
How do you order the offers?
By type of sale, availability and price, and the “Cheapest” badge marks the cheapest of the offers shown. A higher position cannot be bought, and commissions do not affect the order. The only exception is offers from sellers related to us: they come first in the table and we link to them directly. The terms of service describe this.
How do you make money?
Some links to sellers are affiliate links: when you buy a ticket after following a link from eventonight, the seller may pay us a commission. The commission does not raise the ticket price and does not affect the order of offers.
Fan account
Why create an account?
The fan account is free. You save events as “Going” or “Interested”, follow artists, venues and cities, get alerts about price drops, presales and new dates, see prices from all sellers and add your events to your calendar.
How do I create an account?
Click “Create an account”, enter your name or a nickname, your e-mail address and a password, confirm that you are at least 16 years old and accept the terms of service. Then click the link in the e-mail we send you to confirm your address.
The confirmation e-mail has not arrived. What should I do?
Check your spam and promotions folders. If the message is not there either, sign in, click “Confirm your email address” in the account menu and send the link again. Your account works without a confirmed address, but alerts do not.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
On the sign-in page, click “Forgot your password?” and enter your account’s e-mail address. We will send you a link to set a new password. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder.
How do I change my e-mail address, password or name?
In your account settings. A new e-mail address starts working only after you click the link we send to it, and until then you sign in with your current one. After a password change we sign you out on all other devices.
How do I sign out of other devices?
In your account settings, under “Active sessions”, you can see the browsers where your account is open and sign out the others with the “Sign out other devices” button. If someone may have learned your password, change it straight away.
How do I download a copy of my data?
In your account settings, under “Your data”, click “Prepare file”. We prepare a JSON file with your account data, saved events, follows, alerts, notifications and consent history, and send you a link to it by e-mail. The link works for 7 days.
How do I delete my account?
In your account settings, under “Delete account”, confirm the deletion with your password. We sign you out of all devices straight away, and alerts and the calendar stop working. We delete your data after 14 days. If you sign in during that time, the deletion is cancelled.
My events and following
What is the difference between “Going” and “Interested”?
Both buttons save the event in My events. “Going” means you plan to go, and only these events go into your calendar. “Interested” is a list for later. In both cases we remind you when tickets for saved events go on sale, unless you turn this off in settings.
How do I follow an artist, venue or city?
On the artist, venue or city page, click “Follow”. Everything you follow shows up on your Radar, and we tell you about new concerts by the artists you follow in the daily digest. You will find all of them in the “Following” tab.
What is Radar?
Radar brings together, in one place, the upcoming events of the artists, venues and cities you follow and everything you save, in date order, starting with the nearest. You can narrow it down to a chosen month.
How do I add my events to Google, Apple or Outlook calendar?
In My events, click “Create calendar link” and add the link in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. The calendar picks up the events marked “Going” and their changes by itself: new times, postponed and cancelled concerts.
Is the calendar link safe?
The link contains a private key. Anyone who has it can see the events you are going to and your name or nickname, so do not share it. You can generate a new link at any time, and the old one stops working. Changing your password or signing out other devices also invalidates the old link.
Alerts and notifications
What alerts can I get?
Alerts about ticket price drops, presales and new dates of the artists you follow. They arrive by e-mail and also appear in the notifications in your account. You choose how and when you get them in settings.
How do I set a price drop alert?
On the event page, enter an amount in the “Notify me when it drops below” field and save. We will write to you when the cheapest official ticket falls to your threshold or below. You can change the threshold or turn the alert off in the “Alerts” tab.
How do I get a reminder when tickets go on sale?
On an event whose tickets are not on sale yet, click “Remind me of the sale”. We remind you a day before and an hour before the sale starts. If the promoter has not announced the date yet, we will write to you when they do.
How will I hear about new concerts by my artists?
Follow the artist, and we will collect their new dates in the daily digest. In settings you choose whether you want to hear about concerts in your city, in your whole country or anywhere in the world.
Do alerts arrive straight away?
Price and presale alerts are sent straight away or collected in the daily digest, depending on your notification settings. New dates always go into the digest. Prices may change before you read the message, so an alert does not guarantee the price or ticket availability.
I am not getting any alerts. What should I check?
First, whether your e-mail address is confirmed: alerts do not work without it. Then your spam folder and your notification settings, where e-mails may have been turned off. New dates arrive once a day, in the digest.
How do I unsubscribe from alerts?
Every alert e-mail has an unsubscribe link that works with one click, without signing in. You can turn off individual alerts in the “Alerts” tab, and e-mails in your notification settings.
App
How do I install the eventonight app?
You install the app straight from your browser, without an app store. On Android and in Chrome and Edge, click “Install the app” when you see the prompt on the page, or choose to install it from the browser menu. Once installed, the app opens from your home screen like any other.
How do I install the app on iPhone or iPad?
Open eventonight in your browser, tap “Share” (in some browsers tap ••• first), choose “Add to Home Screen” and confirm with “Add”. The eventonight icon appears next to your apps.
Does the app work offline?
Partly. Pages you opened recently in the app, including your saved events, are available even without a signal. New events and current prices load once you are back online.
Is the app in the App Store or Google Play?
Not yet. You install the app from your browser, and it works like any other: it has its own icon, opens in a separate window and takes up little space.
Errors and reports
Where do you get information about events?
From ticket sellers, promoters, venues and artists who publish with us through a partner account, and from open data sources such as Wikidata, MusicBrainz and Wikimedia Commons. We update the data regularly.
There is a mistake in an event’s details. How do I report it?
Write to us through the contact form with the topic “Correction to event details” and paste the link to the event, venue or artist page. We correct wrong information whenever it is reported.
The event I am looking for is not here. What should I do?
If you organize it, add it through a free partner account. If not, write to us through the contact form and paste the link to the promoter’s or seller’s page, and we will check whether we can add it.
How do I report illegal content?
Write through the contact form with the topic “Reporting illegal content”. Give the exact address of the page, explain why the content is illegal, give your full name or company name and state that you are reporting in good faith. Every report is reviewed by a person, and we will tell you our decision by e-mail.
How do I make a complaint?
Send complaints about the site’s services, for example your account, alerts or the calendar, through the contact form. Describe the problem, when it happened and what you expect. We reply within 14 days. Complaints about tickets go to the seller or the promoter.
I disagree with your decision. How do I appeal?
You can appeal a decision about content or an account within 6 months: reply to the e-mail with the decision or write through the contact form. Appeals are reviewed by a person, free of charge. The terms of service give the details.
Privacy and cookies
What cookies do you use?
We do not use advertising cookies. Necessary cookies let you sign in, remember your chosen city and send forms securely, and the Google Analytics statistics cookies are only set with your consent. You will find the full list in the cookie policy.
Why do I see a consent window before a video?
YouTube videos and the Spotify player load from those companies’ servers, which then receive your IP address and set their own cookies. That is why we load them only after you consent. You can choose “Accept all”, “Necessary only” or “Customise consent”.
How do I change or withdraw my consent?
Click “Privacy settings” in the page footer. You can change your choice at any time.
What happens to the question I type into “Night out ideas”?
We send the question to AI models (Claude, Anthropic), which turn it into a search filter and put together plans using only events from our catalog. We do not store the question. The privacy policy gives the details.
How do I exercise my rights over my data?
You can download a copy of your data and delete your account in your account settings. For anything else, for example correcting your data or objecting to processing, write through the contact form with the topic “Personal data (GDPR)”. The privacy policy explains who processes your data and why.
Can promoters see my data?
No. Partners only see aggregate statistics, such as the number of views, saves and follows, without fans’ personal data. Small numbers are shown as “<5”.
For artists, promoters and ticketing platforms
How do I add my events or my profile?
Click “Create a partner account”, sign in or create a fan account with a confirmed e-mail address, and then create an organization in the partner panel. Choose its type: artist managements and labels run artist profiles, promoters and venues publish events and venue profiles, and ticket sellers provide offers.
How much does it cost?
The partner account, the panel, imports and featured events are currently free. Paid services may only be introduced under separate terms, which you accept before placing an order.
Why are my events waiting to be published?
Until we verify your organization, events and profile changes are published after our editors have checked them. Once it is verified, you publish straight away. The exception is events that look like a duplicate of an existing listing: our editors always check these.
How do I claim an artist or venue profile?
In the partner panel, an artist management or label claims an artist profile, and a promoter or venue claims a venue profile, attaching evidence. Our editors make the decision and send it by e-mail. Fields you change will not be overwritten by automatic updates from open data sources.
Can I import events automatically?
Yes. Promoters and venues import events from a CSV file, an iCal calendar or schema.org data on their website. We fetch calendars and websites every 6 hours. Ticket sellers send events and offers through Partner Feed or the REST API. You will find the documentation in the partner panel.
Can I work with a team?
Yes. You invite people by e-mail and give them roles: owner, manager, editor or viewer. An invitation is valid for 7 days, and an organization always has at least one owner.
How do I feature an event?
In the partner panel, click “Feature an event” and choose where to feature the event (the home page or a city page) and for how long. Our editors review the request, and we mark a featured event with the label “Featured by organizer”. Featuring does not change the order of offers, event lists or search results.
